IASC is also pleased to announce the hiring of a new Executive Officer, Kolbrún Reynisdóttir for the IASC Secretariat in Akureyri (Iceland). Kolbrún has a BA in Rural Tourism from Hólar University (Iceland), Diploma in Business Administration with focus on Management and Human Resource Management from Reykjavík University (Iceland), and a Tour Guide Diploma from the University of Iceland. She has extensive experience in project and financial management, accounting and international cooperation and has worked as a manager, project manager, and business consultant. We are excited to have her on the team!
We are of course sad to lose our outgoing Executive Officer Hjalti Ómar Ágústsson and want to thank him for his work at the IASC Secretariat over the last few years. But we are excited to see him move on to a Special Advisor position in the Icelandic Directorate for Equality (Jafnréttisstofa) and continue his work as part of the Gender Equality in the Arctic project of the Icelandic Arctic Cooperation Network, which has their office next door to the IASC Secretariat!
