Project Description
The intent of this activity is to develop an inventory of IASC working group members, ECS, and/or indigenous knowledge holders who are willing to contribute to Arctic Council efforts as part of IASC’s observer status, and to support travel for selected individuals to pertinent meetings. Selection of participants will be in part based upon geographical proximity, to reduce travel costs, in addition to expertise. These decisions will be coordinated with the IASC Secretariat, which already funds at least partial support for some observer activities, but the intent here is to expand the involvement of IASC working groups and to help diversify participation in IASC observer status functions.
