We hope that the Arctic science community is getting excited for ASSW 2021, still scheduled to be held in person in Lisbon, Portugal.
We were overwhelmed by the responses to the call for sessions. Between the extensive submissions and the summer holidays, session review is taking a little longer than planned. Accordingly, the local organizers wanted to update the IASC community that the Call for Abstracts will open a bit later than expected - now scheduled for early September. The deadline for abstract submission is still scheduled for the end of October, with response returned in November.
