At the ASSW 2015 in Toyama, Japan, the IASC Council approved the Portuguese application for IASC membership and welcomed Portugal as the 23rd IASC member country. João Canario was welcomed a a new Council Member and Portugal will be represented in IASC through the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.
