Guest speakers include Prof. Pete Convey from the British Antarctic Survey, UK, who will be discussing new research on the evolution and adaptation of Antarctic terrestrial biota and the implications of this for future management and conservation; and Prof. John Smellie from the University of Leicester, UK, will be discussing new methodological applications of glaciovolcanism that are able to better reconstruct the evolution of the Antarctic Ice Sheet, the largest ice mass in the world.
