Registration and abstract submission for the IASC Network on Arctic Glaciology (NAG) meeting and Workshop on the dynamics and mass budget of Arctic glaciers in Niseko, Japan, on 21-23 January 2025 are now open!
We look forward to receiving contributions from those interested in Arctic glaciology and/or in a cross-cutting activity on “Impacts of the changing land-based cryosphere on Arctic Society”, which brings together glaciologists, social scientists, snow experts, atmospheric scientists, and representatives of Arctic communities. Keynote speakers: Regine Hock and Satoru Yamaguchi.
If you want to attend, please complete the online registration & abstract submission form [deadline 18 October]. Changes can be made to the form until the deadline (e.g. to add an abstract).
Thanks to funding from IASC, CliC Scientific Steering Group, and Japanese Tourism Agency we offer partial travel support for a selection of early-career researchers! There is no registration fee for the meeting.
For more details on registration, abstract submission, the cross-cutting activity, and early career travel support, please have a look at the NAG website. A second website provides more details about the venue, accommodation, skiing opportunities and a field excursion. Participants are recommended to not wait too long to book accommodation at the meeting venue. After 30 September rooms are released for other guests and reduced rates no longer apply. Room-sharing with up to three persons per room is possible.
We are excited to welcome you to snowy Nisek
