The pan-Arctic Distributed Biological Observatory (DBO) networks are pleased to announce funding support for Early Career Researchers and Indigenous Knowledge Holders to join our upcoming planning and co-ordination meetings. A total of 5.000 Euros is available to support three or more people to join either the individual DBO’s meeting in fall (see below) or the all-DBO meeting which is part of the Arctic Science Summit 2024 in Edinburgh, Scotland, 21-26 March 2024 (see https://assw.info/program)

Applicants for the fall meetings (see below) should write directly to the contact people listed below. Applications will be assessed and feedback given within around one week of the deadline. 

For those that wish to join the all-DBO meeting at ASSW in March 2024 the application deadline i 01 February, and feedback will be given by 09 February 2024.

Applications should contain the following information:

  1. Name, affiliation, state of education/work, contact details’
  2. Brief motivation for application including relevance for own development and potential contributions to DBO development (max ½ page)
  3. Which meeting you wish to join, and estimated budget required

The budget limit for support will be between 1.200 and 1.800 Euros per participant.

Atlantic-Arctic DBO: 28-30 November, Sopot, Poland (hosted by IOPAN) – see https://arcticpassion.eu/adbo/ for updates. Application deadline 10th October.
