The EU-funded POLARIN project has opened its 2026 Transnational Access Call, inviting the scientific community to submit proposals for access to polar research infrastructures in both the Arctic and Antarctic.
Proposals should address at least one of eight research priorities, covering areas such as polar oceans and sea ice, ice sheets and glaciers, permafrost, ecosystems and biodiversity, atmospheric processes, paleoclimate, societal change, and polar knowledge gaps. POLARIN provides selected user groups with free-of-charge transnational access, either in person or remotely, to participating research infrastructures.
The deadline for proposals is 29 October 2026 at 16:00 CET.
