Nature is inviting submissions for a new Collection titled “Arctic exceptionalism amidst emerging global tensions.” The Collection explores how the Arctic has historically been shaped by cooperation, environmental stewardship, and diplomatic engagement, while examining how increasing geopolitical tensions may affect the region.
The initiative supports research connected to SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and welcomes contributions related to Arctic governance, cooperation, security, diplomacy, and international relations in the circumpolar North.
The submission deadline is 31 July 2026.
