A new resource, the Registry of Polar Observing Networks (RoPON), is now available online, providing improved access to information on high-latitude observing and monitoring activities.

RoPON is a catalogue of observing systems and coordinating organizations across the Arctic, Antarctic, and Southern Oceans. It offers structured information on networks, including their scope, spatial coverage, associated infrastructure, and links to data repositories. The platform is designed as a distributed resource, allowing network representatives to contribute and update information.

The initiative is a collaboration between the Sustaining Arctic Observing Networks (SAON), the Arctic Portal, and the University of Colorado Boulder, with support from the NOAA GOMO Arctic Research Program.
