SCAR and the Norwegian Polar Institute are pleased to invite you to the 12th SCAR Open Science Conference (OSC), scheduled to take place in Oslo, Norway, from 10-14 August 2026.
The weekend before and after the OSC will be reserved for Business Meetings and side meetings for our SCAR groups and programmes, as well as our partner groups and organisations.
We would like to provide you and your organisation with the opportunity to book space for your meetings. We have set up a form, linked below, for you to do so.
Dates available for business meetings are:
- Saturday, 8 August 2026
- Sunday, 9 August 2026
- Saturday, 15 August2026 (limited space due to Science Group meetings)
- Sunday, 16 August 2026
We are working with our local hosts to provide as much flexibility as possible and while you may not yet have all of the details, it would be very helpful if you could give us as much information as possible by 31 January 2026.

Call for Event Proposals
The call for event proposals for the Open Science Conference is now also open. You are invited to propose parallel sessions, workshops, mini-symposia, or other events to be held during the conference. This is a great opportunity to shape the scientific programme.
