UArctic is now accepting membership applications for 2025. This opportunity is open to universities, colleges, research institutes, and organizations dedicated to education and research in the North.
UArctic builds and strengthens collective resources and collaborative infrastructure, thereby enabling member institutions to better serve their constituents and their regions.
- UArctic members cooperate with each other on multiple levels, focusing on faculty, institutional leadership and international collaboration.
- UArctic represents its members’ interests internationally by promoting their diverse and shared capacity to serve northern communities and interests.
- With nearly 200 member institutions and organizations spanning 24 time zones in the eight Arctic countries and beyond, UArctic is the North’s only truly circumpolar higher education network and one of the world’s largest education and research networks.
The application deadline is February 28, 2025.
To apply, prospective members should review UArctic’s Membership Guidelines and request an application form via email from the UArctic International Secretariat. Applicants will need to provide institutional information and submit a letter of intent signed by their head of institution, highlighting their interest in joining UArctic. Applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee, with successful nominations put forward to the UArctic Assembly for final voting at their annual meeting in June 2025 in Inari, Finland.
