The Science Policy & Government Relations team at AGU is seeking feedback on the biggest Earth and space science issues in need of science policy advocacy through our AGU Policy Priorities Community Survey. As an AGU member, your feedback is vital for AGU’s continued effectiveness as a leading voice for the Earth and space sciences among policymakers.Specifically, the feedback we receive will help inform a clear, solid set of policy priorities that AGU’s policy team will use to engage policymakers on decisions impacting the Earth and space sciences. For example, AGU’s policy priorities will inform our approaches to U.N. meetings and will be shared with U.S. congressional offices as they plan their legislative agenda. This anonymous survey takes just 5-10 minutes to complete and provides an opportunity to help ensure that AGU’s 2025-2026 Policy Priorities reflect the community’s needs and are aligned with broader organizational priorities. To help ensure the priorities represent the diversity of AGU’s community, all AGU members are strongly encouraged to participate. The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. EST on Saturday, 16 November 2024. Our next step will be to review your feedback—along with AGU’s strategic plan and the policy landscape—and develop the 2025-2026 Policy Priorities. For questions about the survey, please email sciencepolicy@agu.org.
