Arctic Frontiers 2025: Beyond Borders will be held in Tromsø, Norway from 27 to 30 Janaury 2025. There will be seven science themes. These represent the latest developments in Arctic research and span the physical and social sciences, as well as technological developments and innovative methods. Each theme is co-organised by a session committee and led by scientists from our partner organisations.
The challenges of today go beyond deadlines decided by governments, territorial claims of oceans and lands, or borders drawn on a map. Addressing global issues requires collaborative efforts and swift decision-making. Dismantling the barriers between science, business, and policy is necessary to deepen communication and enhance our understanding of the pan-Arctic ecosystem. Modern challenges, such as the impacts of climate change, fostering sustainable development, and navigating political tensions, are deeply interconnected. Whilst the financial, societal, and environmental costs of the green transition will not be fairly distributed worldwide, the Arctic is part of the solution.
There are seven science sessions available for you to submit your abstract(s). Please select a session which best fits your research topic. The session committee may decide to move your abstract to another session, if the final composition better reflects your work. You may submit more than one abstract. If you have any questions or problems with submitting your abstract, please contact jenny@arcticfrontiers.com.
Deadline for submitting abstracts is on Friday, 27th September, 2024. Click here to submit your abstract.
