The International Science Council (ISC) has just released the ISC 2023 annual report, marking a year of substantial achievements and strategic developments that have elevated the ISC profile and broadened our impact in the scientific community.
A cornerstone of the success for the Council in 2023 was Members’ continued commitment and engagement, including the Mid-term Meeting of Members in Paris in May, and the comprehensive feedback process on the ISC Statutes and Rules of Procedure, enabling the Council to remain responsive and relevant, addressing the pressing challenges of our time.

Please see a message from Dr. Salvatore Aricò, CEO of the ISC:
“Reflecting on last year's achievements, we are immensely proud and humbled by the dedication and hard work of our Members, Affiliated Bodies, Fellows, and the many ISC champions who volunteer their time to ISC committees or working groups. Your unwavering commitment to the ISC's mission has truly made our impact shine. Together, we continue to elevate the global voice of science, ensuring that it remains a powerful force for positive change.”
The ISC looks forward to continuing its mission with renewed vigour and commitment, and to welcoming Members to the upcoming General Assembly in Oman in January 2025, for which registration will open in the coming days.
