Arctic Youth Conference 2027

The second Arctic Youth Conference will bring together young leaders, students, researchers, professionals, activists and Indigenous Knowledge holders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing a rapidly changing Arctic.

Held under the theme “Here to Grow, Here to Stay,” the youth-led programme will explore connections to land, food, identity and culture; youth participation in Arctic decision-making; healing and well-being; collaboration across borders and generations; and the skills needed to build sustainable futures in the North.

The conference is organised under the Kingdom of Denmark’s 2025–2027 Chairship of the Arctic Council. IASC is supporting an associated APECS workshop, “Arctic Youth Shaping Arctic Research,” through four of its Working Groups, strengthening the involvement of young people in determining future research priorities.
